Annual Breakaway John Roberts Trophy Day 2

2 ^nd Round – John Roberts Trophy

The second round of the John Roberts Trophy was held at Lilleshall Golf Club. The weather proved to be cold throughout the day, though it remained dry, contributing to demanding playing conditions for all participants.

Competitors encountered greens that were especially challenging. The greens were not only extremely fast but also featured considerable undulation, making putting a difficult task for those taking part.

David Martin, Secretary of Lilleshall Golf Club, attended the event. He took part in the day's competition and later joined the Association for the evening meal. The Captain presented David with an Association tie as a momentum of playing with the Flintshire Past Captains

Both the Association Secretary and Darren Edwards managed to score birdie 2s.

The results for the second round of the John Roberts Trophy are as follows:

• 1^st: Darren Edwards (Pennant Park) – 39 points

• 2^nd: Colin Davies (Mold Golf Club) – 34 points

• 3^rd: Ian Bradshaw (Prestatyn Golf Club) – 33 points
