The final round of The John Roberts Trophy was held at the Market Drayton Golf Club, which features a 5,991-yard, par-71 course. Despite heavy rain midway through the afternoon, several players persevered and continued their game.
Brian Hodgkinson, Captain at Market Drayton Golf Club, joined our Captain for golf and scored an impressive 36 points and joined us for an evening meal. John Evans presented Brian with a bottle of wine and an Association Tie as a token of appreciation for our visit.
Match Secretary Mike Holland announced the results. Six birdies were recorded in total: President Paul Boulton, Ian Devenport each with a birdie 2, and The Match Secretary Mike Holland, and Reg Weigh had two birdie 2's each

1st: Geoff Davies (Prestatyn) - 34 points
2nd: Tony Davies (Mold) - 33 points
3rd: Captain John Evans (Mold) - 31 points (on countback)
The Captain presented The John Roberts Trophy to the overall John Roberts Trophy winner was Darren Edwards with 103 points.
Runner-up was Geoff Davies with 96 points,
3rd Ian Bradshaw with 96 points (on countback)
4th Ian Devenport with 91 points.
