The annual match against Denbighshire Past Captains was held on Monday, 8 June, at Llangollen Golf Club, an area of outstanding natural beauty within the World Heritage Site that includes the Froncysyllte Aqueduct.
The 6,662-yard, par-72 course provided an excellent backdrop for this year’s match, played for the Bickley Wheel.
Derrick Williams, Captain of Denbighshire Golf Captains and Past Captains, warmly welcomed everyone to Llangollen Golf Club and thanked his playing partners for an enjoyable match.
He also thanked the caterers for an excellent meal and the greens staff for presenting the course so well.
Derrick then invited John Evans, Captain of the Flintshire Golf Captains & Past Captains Association, to announce the score.
John thanked Derrick for the warm welcome at Llangollen Golf Club and all the players for competing for the Bickley Wheel.
The winners of the 2026 Bickley Wheel was Denbighshire with a score of 6 matches to 2.
